About Us

We are a Branch of Diabetes New Zealand Inc. Charities Commission Registration: CC11432

Diabetes New Zealand Inc.

Our mission is to ensure that every person in New Zealand affected by, or at risk of diabetes has access to the information and support needed to manage their health and well-being.

JOIN NOW! The more members we have the greater is our power to lobby and advocate on behalf of people with diabetes. And your subscription helps to keep the society going. Visit the 'Membership' page to download a registration form.

We are now operating as a Branch of Diabetes New Zealand; previously we had been in operation for more than 30 years, as an independent Incorporated Society. During that time, we have seen some significant changes in the field of diabetes. As times change, we strive to change with them, but our basic mission remains the same: to support the interests of people living with diabetes in the Rotorua region.

Our main aims are to:

- Provide information and support for people with diabetes, friends, relatives and carers;
- Lobby for better diabetes care and to foster communication links between people with diabetes and service providers;

- Increase public awareness of diabetes;

- R
aise funds for local and national diabetes related causes.
